Principal – Structural Engineer

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Design of structures utilizing structural steel, cast-in-place reinforced concrete, light gauge, steel, wood and masonry. Managed and Designed projects including Hospitals, Medical and Corporate Offices, Residential mid-rise buildings, Retail, Churches, Schools, Telecommunication buildings and Renovation of Existing facilities for various usages.

  • Experience includes involvement in all phases of a design project including, complete analysis and design of structures, development of construction documents including structural specifications, coordination with other trades, review of shop drawings, and providing solutions to complex construction problems.

  • Broad experience base that enables him to find multiple solutions to complex problems.

 

EDUCATION

  • Rutgers University, College of Engineering, New Brunswick, New Jersey, B.S. Structural Engineering, major included emphasis in Structural Design and Construction  Management

​

  • Continues his education by attending seminars and researching publications on the latest technological advances within the industry

​

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION

  • Registered Professional Engineer in multiple states across the country.

​

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

  • Active member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI)

  • NC Building Code with IBC Amendments, GA Building Code, NYC Building Code, MA Building Code, Virginia Building Code, IBC, SBC, BOCA, UBC, LRFD, ASD, ACI, ASCE, NDS, ANSI

LICENSES - Nationwide Service

  • Horton Design Group principals have NCEES Record Files permitting quick licensure in almost any state across this great country.  We are currently licensed in multiple states.
